It's been a tough week for the RCV UK admin team as we move on to a new chapter.
We'd like to take this opportunity to say goodbye and thank you to our trustees, Cathleen Magaw and Caroline Bennett, who have decided to step down and take some time for themselves.
Yesterday was RCV's annual Fun on the Field and so many people gave their time and energy.
We would like to thank some very important people who arrived at 7am and put up all the marquees and gazebos and took them all down again at the end of the day.
They were the Tesco Regional Maintenance Team. We will be forever grateful for all your hard work.
We also want to thank all the local businesses who made wonderful donations of raffle prizes.
It's absolutely amazing when local businesses pull together to help the community.

This Saturday from 12pm our amazing street champions will be collecting from the below streets
All tinned or nonperishable food items will be gratefully received, as well as unopened cleaning products and toiletries. We are currently in desperate need of tinned meats, tinned vegetables, tinned fruit, pasta sauces and toiletries.
Your donations go towards supporting local food banks and charities in the fight against hunger, preventing empty shelves and providing hope to those in need.

Today our coffee morning will go ahead as planned at Chanel View Community Centre as we give our VIPs the opportunity to be together and remember our great monarch. We Connect will also be open as usual.
We will be observing a silence together in Her Majesty's memory
Our amazing supplier Toast have made a wonderful pledge to reduce food waste and created these pastry hearts from their scraps. They're available every day Wednesday - Sunday at just 50p! Toast have also agreed to donate all the proceeds from the sales to us for the month of September.
You'll find Toast in Mill Street in Cwmfelinfach where you'll get delicious freshly baked Vegan pastriesand bread, a warm welcome and the satisfaction of supporting a lovely local business with golden pastry hearts.

Roasting vegetables in batches gives you multiple options for low cost meals throughout the week. This one batch of roasted ratatouille gave three super tasty meal options:
Day 1 - a yummy and nutritious side to chicken for a main evening meal
Day 2 - Served on top of a jacket potato for a really filing lunch
Day 3 - Blitzed into a pasta sauce and topped with cheese for a family favourite pasta bake

This is a totally free event to attend but is also a fundraiser to kick start the Autumn Winter campaigns we have planned. More to be revealed next week.
