Changes and Goodbyes

This past week there have been some changes at RCV UK.

Our long-standing trustees, Caroline Bennett and Cathleen Magaw, have made the difficult decision to step down from their positions this week.

We cannot underplay how integral these two wonderful people have been to RCV UK.

Both Caroline and Cathleen have been dedicated volunteers since RCV began, no task has ever been too big for them. I am truly thankful for everything they have done for us at RCV and they have made a lasting impact on this community. - Dawn Derraven

Both Caroline and Cathleen have been with us since the beginning and have been instrumental in coordinating and running several of our campaigns and community projects.

Caroline has headed up Tin on a Wall, coordinated DBS checks for our hundreds of volunteers, and introduced safeguarding policies. Cathleen has been responsible for the seamless running of our kindness calls, matching volunteers to our VIPs as well as overseeing the Wattsville and Cwmfelinfach collections.

We couldn't have achieved what we have without Cathleen and Caroline. We will miss them dearly and I want to thank them for always being there for both us personally and our community in the most unprecedented times. - Tara Holloway-Scott

We wish them both well as they explore new opportunities and embark on some much-deserved relaxation and recuperation. Our heartfelt thanks to these wonderful ladies, from all of us here at RCV, all of our volunteers, and our VIPs.

As we move on to the next exciting chapter of RCV UK, we are looking for trustees to join us. If you are interested in the position and have a passion for creating sustainable and robust communities we want your help. Message tara@rcvuk.org and dawn@rcvuk.org for more information.
