Get Toasty with RCV UK and The National Grid Community Fund

With the rise in the cost of living, we understand that this winter will be challenging.

So, we’re working with The National Grid Community Matters Fund to bring you initiatives to keep you warm. We’ll be hosting a warm space at Channel View Community Centre called “Get Toasty” and have heaters and blankets available to those who need them.

Get Toasty warm space

Every Friday morning from 10 am– 12 pm we will be hosting “Get Toasty” at Channel View Community Centre our initiative to keep the community warm.

Get Toasty is completely free to come along to, we’ll be providing hot drinks, cakes and toast. There’ll also be crafts, and the opportunity to socialise with others.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and join us!

Heaters and blankets

To help keep you warm at home, thanks again to The National Grid Community Matters Fund, we’ve been able to secure some electric blankets, thick duvets, thermal throws, and electric heaters to give to those who need them.

To apply to us to receive some of these packs, please email info@rcvuk.org.

Check out what we were able to give out through this initiative in December 2022:

We also run a number of activities throughout the week such as Breakfast Club and Friendly Friday. Check out more about these on our website.

We hope to see you at one of these events soon!
