Meditation Monday at We Connect

Hands up if you've been feeling overwhelmed of late! This admin for one most certainly has! Feeling burnt out towards the end of the year is a familiar feeling but we're bringing you a brand new club We Connect to help you reconnect with yourself, and feel more centred and in control. We're launching Meditation Mondays at We Connect, join us from 6:30 pm.



What is Meditation?


Meditation is an ancient practice that some sources have dated back to 5000 bc. It is a complete mind-to-body practice in which you focus your attention on the present. The practice looks to promote awareness and improve well-being by harnessing the power of your breath and clearing your mind from distractions.


Forbes magazine state that types of meditation vary throughout each person’s practice and can include breathing-based meditation, mindfulness practices, nature-based visualization, mantra, and spiritual meditation. Meditation can be practiced alone, in a group, or with a coach or therapist.


Why should I Meditate?


Meditation has incredible health benefits and can be used to help with the management of a number of mental health conditions. Here are just a few of the wonderful health benefits of meditation:

Why Meditate with Us?


Our Meditation Mondays will be run by local volunteers with a wealth of experience, almost 35 years combined experience in fact. They will be there to empower you on your path to zen but this journey is all yours.

We're keen to welcome all levels to the Risca Meditation Soceity. We promise to nuture an environment of respect that is welcoming and inclusive with the aim of building a robust community.

We can promise you a welcoming and calm atmosphere suitable for all levels. No experience is necessary all you need is an interest of curiosity towards meditation.


When Can I Come Along?


Meditation Mondays will run Mondays, except the first Monday of the month. You can come along after our pantry from 6:30 pm.


Parking is available nearby on the road outside We Connect or just behind our coffee shop in the Risca Rugby Club car park.
